A dense Bauhaus-era Kandinsky abstract in the spirit of In Blue (1925) — a great slate-blue disc floating on near-black, crowded with triangles, grids, arcs, chequered bars and a solid black sphere, with gold and cream planes pushing in from either side.

This is Kandinsky's geometric period at full complexity: every shape reads like a note, the black ground holding it all in tension. Sophisticated and graphic rather than loud.
