Le Voyage de Babar Vintage Book Cover Print | Ice Skating Elephant Nursery Wall Art
Two elephants glide across the ice, trunks almost touching, spinning slow circles on a frozen pond. One wears a zigzag jumper in sage and lemon with checked plus-fours, the other a little scarlet coat trimmed in white fur with a matching cap. Their arms are flung wide with the pure joy of a winter afternoon.
This print comes from the cover of Le Voyage de Babar, first published in Paris in 1932 by Jean de Brunhoff. It keeps the soft, hand-drawn charm of the original, with its gentle watercolour washes, periwinkle-blue lettering and the publisher's looping script at the foot. We've framed it with a pale blue and buttercream stripe with a scalloped edge, giving it the fresh, airy feel of a Parisian awning.
A timeless piece for a nursery, playroom or cosy reading corner, and a thoughtful gift for a new baby, a christening, or anyone who treasures the classic storybooks of their childhood.
