The Crimson Forest 

Hills roll away in layers of burgundy, rose and deep cocoa, each one patterned with thousands of tiny dots like seeds, stars or falling petals. Delicate trees reach upward with fan-shaped leaves, a pale blush tree glows against the sky, and coral-like shrubs and starburst blooms gather in the foreground, all held within the same warm, glowing palette.

Kurenai is a traditional Japanese name for a deep rouge-crimson, once made by hand from safflower petals and treasured as one of the most precious colours of all. This print is a whole forest painted in that colour, from the softest blush pink to the richest wine red.
